Melita is originally from Kent but has lived in Kos Greece for the past 28 years.
Melita started her vocational training at Urdang and completed her training at one of the UK's leading ballet schools - Elmhurst Ballet School.
After gaining her teaching qualifications with the IDTA Melita worked abroad dancing around
Europe before settling in Kos.
Melita was given the opportunity to become the principal and owner of a small school in the
centre of Kos town. Her first year there was 35 pupils and has now grown to over 150 students,
they are celebrating 20 years.
Melita worked hard to gain her fellowships in Ballet, Modern Jazz and Theatre Craft and her
associate in Tap and her students gain 100% pass mark in all examinations, with many students
being awarded nominations to attend the prestigious IDTA International Dance Awards.
Former students have left the school to continue their training at top dance colleges and
universities, and now are working in the industry.
On many occasions they have been asked to put on performances for visiting celebrities and
dignitaries that visit the island as well as the usual dance school productions.
They are honoured to be the only school to represent Greece at the Dance World Cup finals
