Rebecca Crookes

Artistic Director of Tap Dance

Rebecca started her dance training at Vanessa's School of Dancing when she was 6 years old. Although she trained in every style, tap was always her passion. 

At nineteen, Rebecca joined Tap Attack where she continued her where she continued her training. She competed in the World Tap Dance Championships in Germany gaining a Bronze Medal in Tap Attacks Formation routine. 

Rebecca has has numerous performing roles over the past 10 years as a dancer, actor and singer. From 2016 to 2017 Rebecca was lucky enough to perform in the UK Tour of 'Stand By Me' with The Drifters. Currently, Rebecca is Show Captain and Choreographer at the Alton Towers Resort where she also gets to perform in many different shows. 

Rebecca continues to develop her tap training at festivals and intensive courses with incredible masters such as Roxanne Butterfly, Avalon Rathgeb and Sarah Reich who are some of her greatest influencers. She is also inspired by the historic stars of tap including Anne Miller, The Nicholas Brothers and Jimmy Slyde. 

Rebecca's favourite tap quote is from John Bubbles: "Listen to my feet and they will tell you the story of my life". 

Rebecca is excited to be leading the I-PATH Tap. The syllabus will have a range of different styles including American Rhythm Tap and the more traditional broadway styles too.
